Our two types of axial thread rolling heads are the rotating and non-rotating types. These have additional versions in the form of left hand or right hand thread production. In addition, because fine pitch threads have shallow helix angles, we also supply our rolling heads with an additional variation to accommodate this. The non-rotating type is for use when the work piece is revolving and has an internal trip mechanism. The head is advanced towards the workpiece at the pitch/RPM rate. An internal stop then opens the head to release the rolls when the desired length has been achieved. The head can then be closed manually or with an actuator, ready for the next cycle.
The rotating type is for use when the workpiece is stationary and has an external trip mechanism. The revolving head is advanced towards the workpiece at the pitch/RPM rate. An external stop then activates a yoke mechanism which opens the head to release the rolls when the desired length has been achieved. The head is then closed with an actuator, ready for the next cycle.

Thread Roll Sets
Our product range also includes the thread rolls themselves. We supply rolls for our own heads as well as other manufacturers (Fette, Landis, Wagner etc.).
The material and processes used in the manufacture of our rolls are the result of many years of development. The outcome of this is that although our costs remain competitive, our roll life is greatly improved over the standard HSS product.

Spare Parts
Thread rolling heads have certain consumable wearing parts (eccentric spindles, carbide bushes, brake and friction rings for example).
Along with supply of spare parts for our heads, we also supply similar parts for other manufacturers. As with our thread rolls, our spare parts are very competitive when compared with the original equipment manufacturers charges. Please enquire for details.
